HOW TO
Find 10
Pin
Position

A) Stand
off of the
approach
(far left
side, even
with the
left
channel).
B) Line up
shoulder
and center
.of ball.
C) Pivot
until 10
pin, ball,
and
shoulder
are in
line.
D) Now
move on to
the
approach
until 4th
arrow
comes into
the pin,
ball,
shoulder
line.
E) Look
down and
determine
which
board the
inside
(instep)
of sliding
foot is
covering,
as this is
your 10
pin/starting
position
board.
HOW TO
Make 10
Pin
Consistently:
A) Always
double
check the
2 points
of
alignment:
1) Exact
board,
with
sliding
foot. .
2)
Shoulder-ball-arrow-pin,
in line.
E) It is
suggested
that all
high skill
bowlers
use middle
arrow as
the
primary 10
pin
system.
F) If
using
middle
arrow
system:
1) Move 3
right from
middle
arrow
starting
position
to bowl
for the 6
pin.
2) Move 6
right from
middle
arrow
starting
position
to bowl
for the 3
pin.
3) Use
same
middle
arrow.
TEN PIN
CONSISTENCY
TECHNIQUE
Many
ten pins
are missed
due to
improper
alignment.
Do the
following
and do it
each time
you bowl
the ten
pin.1)
Stand on
your
normal 10
pin
starting
position.2)
Face
perpendicular
to the
foul line
(90 degree
angle).3)
Line up
middle of
ball with
middle of
bowling
shoulder.4)
Now pivot
slightly
to have
ball,
shoulder
and feet
face in
the angle
of the ten
pin.5)
Bowl: your
consistency
will
improve.6)
Also
increase
consistency
by aiming
at the 7
foot dots:
(If you
use 3rd
arrow
target
zone Look
3 boards
to the
left of
the 5th
dot from
the right
side. If
You use
the middle
arrow
zone-Look
3 boards
to the
right of
the 5th
dot from
the left
side.
